Everything families ask us
Admissions
Call our admissions helpline or request a call back. The first step is simply a conversation — we listen, answer your questions, and explain the options. Nothing is committed at that stage.
After the clinical assessment, admission can usually be arranged within 48 to 72 hours. In urgent situations we will move faster — tell the care advisor it is urgent.
Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Tour the facility, meet the care team, see the suites, eat a meal. Judge us on what you see, not on a brochure.
Always. A physician assesses medical history, mobility, cognition and risk. If we cannot safely meet someone's needs, we will tell you honestly and help you find a facility that can.
Care
Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, post-stroke rehabilitation, psychiatric rehabilitation, psychosis, depression, addiction recovery, and general elderly and long-term residential care.
Yes. Care is physician-led, nursing cover is 24/7, and every resident has a written care plan reviewed monthly by a supervising doctor.
We staff to the care plan, with a typical ratio of around 1:4 during the day and dedicated night cover. Ask us for the exact current figures — a facility that will not give you a straight answer to this question is telling you something.
By finding its cause first — pain, hunger, fear, over-stimulation — and by using environment and routine. Psychotropic medication is used only where clinically indicated and is reviewed monthly, with the goal of the minimum effective dose. Sedation is not a care plan.
Nursing staff are on site around the clock and respond immediately. Where hospital-level care is required, we arrange transfer and stay involved throughout.
Families
Yes. Visiting is open. Families who visit often are part of the care, not an interruption to it.
Through a named caregiver who knows your relative, structured updates, a monthly clinical review you are invited to, and video updates for family living abroad.
Yes — caregiver counselling and family support circles are part of the program. The people visiting need care too.
Costs
It depends on the level of care and the type of suite. You will receive the full cost in writing before admission, and we do not add charges later.
No. What is agreed in writing before admission is what you pay. If a change in care level would change the cost, we discuss it with you first.
Facility
A hospital treats an episode and discharges you. Sharanam is where someone lives. Residents have routines, gardens, companionship and dignity — with physician-led clinical oversight behind it.
Yes, and we encourage it. Familiar furniture, photographs and bedding help orientation and make the settling-in period considerably easier.
